It is necessary to note, that the programme of teaching Statistics in Russia and behind its boarders considerably differs.
Outside Russia there are other standards of the programme and skills, which students should receive as a result of studying and training in statistics.
Soviet and then the postSoviet Russian statistics has created sections, which are not present in the West:
- the general theory of statistics (or simply theory of statistics);
- social statistics, economic statistics, socio-economic statistics;
- statistics of different branches of national economy, and
- international statistics.
International Statistics is studied at international high schools or in specializations with the international bias.
